First, it was India opener Rohit Shram who responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plea ahead of general elections. Former batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar has now joined the bandwagon and responded to PM Modi’s request of enlightening voters with star power to have a record turnout of voters. Tendulkar seemed to second the honorable PM as he took to Twitter and used a classical analogy to explain his take on the subject. Tendulkar explains how to build a successful team dedicated selectors are required, similarly to build a winning nation, committed electors are needed. “Agree sir, Hon. PM Modiji. To build winning teams, we need dedicated selectors to identify best talent. To build a winning Nation, we need committed electors to identify our best representatives. Come, take responsibility in scripting India’s success.”

Earlier, PM Narendra Modi has urged stars from all walks of life to come and do the same in his own style. To Sachin Tendulkar, his post was, “When @mangeshkarlata Didi, @sachin_rt and @arrahman say something, the nation takes note! I humbly request these remarkable personalities to inspire more citizens to come out and vote in the 2019 elections. A vote is a great way to make the people’s voice heard.”

Other sports stars Modi requested are VVS Laxman, Virat Kohli, Bajrang Punia, Neeraj Chopra, the Phogat sisters, and many others.
