Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar has got picked for the Mumbai U19 squad for the upcoming Vinoo Mankad Trophy 2018. India U-19 pacer Arjun Tendulkar recently made his debut against Sri Lanka U19. The left arm pacer picked three wickets in four innings against Sri Lanka U19. But, he was not named for the One Day series as he is already 19 and will not be able to participate in the junior World Cup in 2020. That also is the reason why he did not make the cut for the ongoing Asia Cup. With Arjun coming up with good performances it does not look long before he gets picked for the Mumbai Ranji team.

Earlier, he was not picked for even the off-season camp in Mumbai’s senior squad. The state association went on to add seven more names but Arjun missed the cut. The Vinoo Mankad Trophy will be a massive opportunity for the youngster to grab eyeballs with his performance.

Mumbai U-19 will open their campaign against Gujarat on October 6. They will go on to face Bengal (October 7), Madhya Pradesh (October 9), Karnataka (October 12), Assam (October 16), Maharashtra (October 18), Jharkhand (October 20) and Uttar Pradesh (October 22) in the league stage matches of the tournament.

Meanwhile, he was in England during India’s tour of England, where he spent time with Kohli and Co. He was seen bowling to the senior lads in the nets and was also spotted chatting with coach Ravi Shastri.
