Out-of-favour Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali has found a new fan and it is none other than former skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed‘s two-year-old son. Former Pakistan women’s cricketer Urooj Mumtaz Khan, who is currently a commentator in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) took to Twitter and posted the video of Sarfaraz’s son Abdullah Sarfaraz after the match after the game between Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators. Ali’s bomb celebration during the 2017 Champions Trophy made him a runaway hit among fans. He did it after picking a wicket. During Pakistan’s successful run in the 2017 Champions Trophy, Ali picked 17 wickets. Back then, he also won the player of the tournament award as Pakistan went on to lift the ICC Champions Trophy title for the first time.
Ali, who is currently a part of the Peshawar Zalmi outfit has represented Pakistan in nine Test matches, 53 ODIs and 30 T20I games picking up 148 wickets across the three formats since bursting into the scene in 2016.
After an unsuccessful 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup, where he picked merely two wickets in four games he was dropped from the national side.
Meanwhile, in the ongoing PSL, he conceded 52 runs in the first game picking two wickets against Karachi Kings as Zalmi thrashed Kings by 10 wickets. He came back stronger in the second match, where he gave 22 runs in four overs without picking a wicket.
