Sarfaraz Khan once again showed why he deserves to playing with the top dogs of Indian cricket with a scintillating knock that took the game away from Pakistan. India were in a precarious position with the team at 26 for two chasing 198. On bowler-friendly conditions, pacer Khaleel Ahmed wrecked havoc on the Pakistan batmsen, picking up five wickets. Almost every Indian bowler who rolled his arm did a job for the side.

It was a day when aggressive batsmanship paid off. Even for Pakistan, it was Mohammad Umar and Hasan Mohsin who looked comfortable at the crease. India were cautious in the early overs during their chase with Mohsin striking twice. That was when Sarfaraz came to the crease and smashed the Pakistan bowlers to all parts. In typical Inzamam-ul-Haq style, he dealt with boundaries, doing very little running throughout his stay at the crease.

Sarfaraz took India to the cusp of victory before departing. Washington Sundar was gritty while Mahipal Lormor was belligerent as India raced past the target. The game was reduced to 45-over a side match after a fog cloud had postponed the start of the match.
