Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt and American gymnastics star Simone Biles clinched the Laureus sports award of the year. While Biles won the award for the first time Bolt won it for the record four times to equal the haul of Tennis star Roger Federer.

However, a selfie has gone viral after the news of sportsman and sportswoman awards broke. The selfie was taken during the event and perhaps the greatest ever star-studded selfie.

Bolt’s selfie featured many big names of sports, including F1 Champion Nico Rosberg, legendary Olympic gold medal winning swimmer Michael Phelps and Simone Biles, Leicester City’s Wes Morgan and Claudio Ranieri and Chicago Clubs owner Thomas S. Ricketts.  Also read: Sportsmen with most Laureus World Sports Awards: Find it out here

However, this could be the most prestigious selfie as it included many sporting greats, but this is not the first ever star studded selfie. In 2014 Ellen DeGeneres had taken a selfie at the Oscars which featured Hollywood‘s A-list actors-Brad Pitt, Kevin Spacey, Bradley Cooper, Meryl Streep, and Julia Roberts. The tweet has become the most retweeted image in the history.

Bolt defended his Beijing Olympic sprint treble in 2012 London Olympic and in 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic. However, recently Bolt was stripped of the 2008 relay gold because his teammate Nesta Carter was found positive in the dope test. Meanwhile, the American gymnast Biles won four golds and one bronze which helped her to win the Laureus Sportswoman award for the first time since its inauguration in 2000.

Among the other award winners, recently retired Formula One driver Rosberg won the breakthrough of the year, and Phelps has won the best comeback award in Rio. His overall Olympic medal haul is 23.

The winners received the award at a gala in Monte Carlo in Monaco.
