The 2017 IPL auction has seen some breathtaking action as the franchises bargained hard on big stars and rising youngster. The tenth edition of the Indian Premier League will run from April 5 to May 21. All the eight teams bought players according to their strategy to balance their squads.

357 players enrolled their name in this auction; including 130 overseas players went under the hammer. The pool comprised of 62 batsmen, 117 bowlers, 148 all-rounder and 30 wicket-keepers.

227 uncapped players also featured in this auction along with six players from the associate countries. English and Afghanistan players dominated the auctions as they were sold for maximum prices.

While English allrounder Ben Stokes fetched Rs. 14.5 crore Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan was bought for Rs 4 crore. Among the uncapped players, Mohammed Siraj was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs 2.60 crore.
