Shah Rukh Khan’s Not so Customary Message For Dinesh Karthik is Winning The Internet
New-look Kolkata Knight Riders had a fairly successful season, finishing 3rd in the recently concluded Indian Premier league in 2018.
It seems Kolkata night Riders owner Shahrukh Khan and franchise captain Dinesh Karthik have formed a great camaraderie. For example, KKR was decimated by Kings XI Punjab, that is when SRK had to issue an apology to their fans via tweet. Soon after that, Karthik sent out a tweet asking SRK to keep smiling and not to worry, since then Karthik lived up to his promise and KKR were soon on a winning streak. That, we are guessing must have earned SRK’s respect.
Shahrukh Khan latest tweet for Karthik shows that now they are much closer than ever before and there is mutual respect for each other, that is what makes this owner-player relationship unique. Dinesh Karthik turned 33 and SRK did not miss the opportunity to wish him. But, this is one of those customary tweets, it is special and the King of Bollywood made that very clear. SRK’s tweet read, “Wishing my Captain @DineshKarthik the happiest of Birthday. Not because it is customary to do so, but because nobody else deserves it more. We have such Few Good Men left…so need to celebrate them. Love u man. Be healthy & happy.”

Meanwhile, new-look Kolkata Knight Riders had a fairly successful season, finishing 3rd in the recently concluded Indian Premier league in 2018. KKR lost in the last Eliminator to SunRisers Hyderabad to finally make an exit from the tournament. In IPL 2018, he scored 498 runs in 16 matches at an average of 49.80. His highest score in the tournament was 52. Personally, this was Karthik’s best IPL season.
