India, after a slow start, which included the Australians claiming a dropped catch at second slip of Rohit Sharma, have begun to gather steam with both openers looking set at the crease. Rohit broke the shackles, smashing a big six of a pull shot which went all the way. Then Dhawan came to the party, whacking Johnson for a couple of boundaries and then treating James Faulkner with utmost disdain, smashing the left-armer for a flurry of boundaries. Dhawan was using his feet well and has managed to unsettle the Australian bowlers. Just when it was going well, Josh Hazlewood spotted Dhawan coming down the track and the batsman got a hold of the shot too but Glenn Maxwell took a safe catch. Australia managed to post 328 for seven in their 50 overs against India in the second semi final match of the ICC Cricket world Cup 2015 at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Thursday. After a good start provided courtesy Steve Smith’s century and Aaron Finch’s seventh One-Day International (ODI) half-century, Australian innings faced a mini-collapse. Wickets fell in quick succession and the run-rate dropped. It took some lusty hitting towards the end of the innings for the hosts to go past the 300-run mark. India got off to a dream start when David Warner got a leading edge and Umesh Yadav struck for India early as the big-hitting Australian opener was sent back to the dressing room in the semifinals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 match. The Indians are on the prowl and the length was perfect from the bowlers early on. Mohammed Shami, in particular was spot on and troubled the batsmen and stifling them too. It was the wicket of centurion, Steve Smith after a marathon knock, which has seen Australia sit in the drivers’ seat. Steve Smith came in a difficult situation at 15 for 1 and took to the Indian bowling with consummate ease. Umesh Yadav was hammered for four boundaries in a r0w and as India struggled to break their partnership.
