India opener Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma were expected to get India off to a decent start, but that was not to be. Chasing 237 to win in the 1st ODI at Hyderabad, Dhawan fell for a golden duck. The southpaw was looking to drive an overpitched ball from Nathan Coulter Nile on the up. The ball went in the air but straight to Glen n Maxwell at point who accepted the catch gleefully.

This is the second golden duck for Dhawan this year and both have come against Australia.

Here is how trolls followed:

At the time of filing the copy, India had recovered from the early loss of Dhawan and was 56/1 in 14th over.

Australia posted 236/7. Khawaja top-scored for the visitors. Kuldeep, Shami and Bumrah picked up three wickets apiece for India. Earlier in the day, Australia got off to a woeful start as they lost their captain Aaron Finch for a duck. Meanwhile, KL Rahul does not find a spot after a good T20I series, Ambati Rayudu seems to be the one being trusted at the 4 spot. Yuzvendra Chahal has been rested as Jadeja, Kuldeep find spots. Pant too does not find a place.

India seems to be persisting with the ploy of experimenting to finalise the World Cup squad.
