Spain’s coach Luis Enrique has made one change in the squad for the Euro 2020 qualifying matches against Norway and Malta.
Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz pulled out due to fever after arriving at the training camp, reports Efe news. The fever had also kept him out of his side’s win over Udinese at the weekend.
Enrique has replaced him with Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez who was a surprise omission from the original list of 23 players named on Friday.
The squad held its first training session on Monday at the Spanish Football Federation’s (RFEF) Las Rozas facility. But for Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio, all players participated. Asensio focused on gym work.
