Steve Smith joined Rajasthan Royals for the upcoming season of IPL and received a traditional welcome of reaching Jaipur from the franchise. Smith was seen wearing the traditional Indian headgear (Pagdi) as he was holding a placard which read, “Halla Bol Steve’. Smith is making a comeback after serving a year-long-ban for ball-tampering where he along with David Warner and Cameron Bancroft were found guilty. Now that the bans are over, they are eligible to join the national team. It would also be interesting to see if they make it to the Australian World Cup squad because they have not had a lot of match practice.

Earlier in the day, SunRisers Hyderabad posted a picture of David Warner joining the franchise for the IPL 2019 season. He would be an important member of the side as the only time SRH clinched the crown in 2016, Warner was the captain of the side. Warner knows the Indian conditions well and he will add a lot of value to the orange army. The southpaws beard-look was liked by the fans as it already has garnered over 1,800+ RT’s.

The two cricketers were earlier welcomed the Australian team in Dubai and with ‘hugs and cuddles’. The fortunes of their respective franchises will depend a lot on the performances of these two key players.
