World Cup 2019: Steve Smith has gone from strength to strength ever since he made his return to cricket after serving a 12-month ban for ball tampering. Smith joined the Australian team in their preparation for the World Cup and what a comeback he made. He took a breathtaking catch to announce his return in a big way in an unofficial ODI against New Zealand. The one-handed scorcher sends Tom Latham packing. The incident happened in the 33rd over of the match, when Behrendorff’s slower delivery foxed the southpaw who was early into the shot. It was a top-edge which was taken by Smith, who had to cover about 10 meters to his right and then complete the catch.
Here is the video posted by Cricket Australia. It was captioned, “WHAT A CATCH! Steve Smith has still got it!”
