Super Four Match 5: India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is in line to go past Sachin Tendulkar and become the second-highest wicket taker for India in Asia Cup. Irfan Pathan is at the top of the tree with this one. Jadeja has 16 wickets in Asia Cup and is a wicket away from equalling Tendulkar and two wickets to surpass the legend. Tendulkar has 17 wickets in Asia Cups. Irfan Pathan is the highest wicket-taker for India in the Asia Cup with 22 wickets.

Jadeja has got 16 wickets from 12 matches at an economy of 4.27. India locks horns with Afghanistan today, a team that has shown promise and ability to compete with big teams. Jadeja would have good memories about Afghanistan as the last time the two teams met in the Asia Cup in 2014, Jadeja bagged four scalps at an economy of 3/over an average of 7.

Ravindra Jadeja mentioned that this comeback would be memorable for him. “I will always remember this comeback because I returned to the team after a gap of around 480 days. The earlier gaps have not been this long.” He also said that he would want to perform whenever he gets an opportunity.

Jadeja has made a return in the blues after a gap of 14 months but has got into the thick of things straight away.
