Even two months after the tournament, India still haven’t received the Asia Cup trophy, as Naqvi took it with him. Although the BCCI has discussed the matter with the PCB, the situation remains unresolved.

Meanwhile, when asked which team he would want to meet in a potential final of next year’s T20 World Cup, Suryakumar instantly responded, “Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad against Australia.“ India Women‘s captain Harmanpreet Kaur agreed, noting that her team had also defeated Australia in the semifinal of the recent World Cup on their way to the title.
“Australia is the only team whom we want to beat because that’s the game which stays with you,” she said during the event to announce the schedule and venues for the T20 World Cup.
