T10 Cricket League: Vintage Shahid Afridi smashed a belligerent 14-ball 50 to demolish the Nothern Warriors bowling attack in the ongoing T10 League in Dubai. Afridi’s brute batting helped Pakhtoons beat Northern Warriors by 13 runs. The veteran smashed 59 off 17 balls and his knock was laced with seven sixes and three fours. Afridi’s belligerence helped Pakhtoons set Warriors 136 runs to win in 10 overs. Apart from Afridi, no other batsman got going and hence it was a one-man show. Enroute to 59, he smacked Wahab Riaz for four consecutive sixes in an over. Riaz ended up with figures of 34 from two overs.

In reply, Warriors fell 13 runs short. Apart from Rovman Powell’s breathtaking 80 off 35 balls no other batsman got going and that hurt them. His innings was studded with eight sixes. Mohammad Irfan was the pick of the bowlers for the Pakhtoons, he scalped two wickets for 20 runs. With the win, the Pakhtoons ensured they book a spot in the finals as well.
