The Patiala High Court took everyone by surprise, earlier today, as it acquitted all the 16 players accused of spot fixing in the 2013 Indian Premier League. The judgment by Patiala High court came as a surprise for everybody as just last week; Supreme Court-appointed Lodha committee had suspended Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) for two years. The committee also took CSK Team Principal- Gurunath Meiyappan, and RR co-owner Raj Kundra to task as they were banned for life to indulge in any cricketing activity.

However, all’s well that ends well. After the players being booked under the provisions of MCOCA, it comes as good news for all the players who have been acquitted by the court. DRUM ROLL ALREADY!
