UEFA Super Cup Preview, Real Madrid vs Sevilla: Cardiff City poised for Spanish invasion

The first trophy of the upcoming campaign is up for grabs as 10-time Champions League winners Real Madrid take on their fellow La Liga outfit Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup fixture at the Cardiff City Stadium on Tuesday. The UEFA Super Cup is played between the Champions League champions and Europa Cup winners, in this case, Real Madrid and Sevilla FC respectively.

Los Blancos arrive in Wales on the back of a poor pre-season tour in the USA, where they lost to Inter Milan, AS Roma and Manchester United in the International Champions Cup. However, manager Carlo Ancelotti will be buoyed by the availability of top stars, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale along with summer signings James Rodriguez, Toni Kroos and Keylor Navas. This tournament will be the competitive debut for Rodriguez, Kroos and possibly Navas as well.
