Umesh Yadav became the biggest talking-point on social media after he conceded 14 runs off the last over, which helped Australia win the 1st T20I at Vizag by three wickets. It was a fabulous penultimate over by Bumrah which set up things for India. Bumrah picked up two wickets and conceded just two runs. The Men in Blue felt with the tail at the crease, they have pocketed the game but that was not to be. Umesh Yadav was rusty as he did not hit the right spots and was picked for runs by Jhye Richardson and Pat Cummins. With six needed off the last two, Umesh gave a boundary and that tilted the equation. Umesh gave 35 runs in his stipulated four overs and went wicketless. Also Read - India vs New Zealand 2nd Test: Rain Threat Looms Over Test Match In Mumbai

One has to admit that India fought well to make a match out of it. The total of India 126 never looked good enough to challenge the Australians, but the Indians were disciplined in the field and with the ball apart from that forgettable last over. India will host Australia in the last T20I on February 27 and would be looking to level the series.
“We want to give Rahul and Rishab more game-time. Rahul played a really good knock and we had a good partnership. Had we gone on, we could have got 150, which would have been a match-winning score on this pitch. But Australia played better cricket overall and deserved to win,” Kohli said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
However, he didn’t forget to praise his bowlers for making a match of a low target like 127.
“Very pleased with the bowling effort. Never thought we would be in this situation but Bumrah can do wonders when the ball is reversing. Even Mayank (Markande) bowled brilliantly (17th over), I thought,” said Kohli.
