UP Yoddha vs Telugu Titans PKL 5: Lucknow Beat Hyderabad 31-18

UP Yoddha kicked off their Pro Kabbadi League (PKL) campaign in style as the debutante defeated Telugu Titans 31-18 on Tuesday. Their 13 points victory will defiantly boost their confidence before they play their next match.

Meanwhile, Rahul Chaudhari received ‘Perfect Raider of the Match’ for scoring seven raid points. While Yoddha defender Nitesh Kumar received the ‘Palyer of the Match’ award for scoring five tackle points ‘Shahi he Player’ award was given to Surender Singh for scoring three points as a substitute.

This was also Titans’ third consecutive defeats in the PKL 2017. Besides, Rahul Chaudhari, who scored seven raid points, no other player from his team made an impact in the match, as a result, they lost one more match in front of home fans. For the debutante, UP Yoddha Nitin Tomar scored six points while Rishank Devdiga and defender Nitesh Kumar scored five points each.

Earlier, YP Yoddha won the first point of the match but within 11 minutes in the first half, the score was leveled at 6-6. From there, it was a competitive Kabbadi between Titans and Yoddha, but a super raid gave the former a four points lead. From there Yoddha didn’t concede their lead while Titans failed to break former’s defensive chain. While Yoddha got off to a great start Titans will have to work on their weak areas otherwise they have to face the heat. After winning their first match, they lost to Patna Pirates, Bengaluru Bulls and now to the debutante UP Yoddha respectively.
