Happy Birthday, Sachin: It is no secret that Vinod Kambli and Sachin Tendulkar are childhood friends. As Tendulkar turned 46, Kambli, his dear friend made the occasion special as he sang for his friend. Kambli sang a popular Bollywood track, “Tere Jaisa Yaar Kahan, Yaad Karegi Duniya’. Earlier, he had also posted a video where he had touched Tendulkar’s feet during a local T20 match. The two friends are often spotted together in Mumbai and by the looks of it, it is a friendship that has lasted the test of time. Of course, there have been ups and downs, but now it seems the wrinkles have been ironed out and the friendship is blossoming.

Here is the video where Kambli sings for Tendulkar and does a fairly good job at that:

He also shared a picture of himself along with his friend.

Both started out playing cricket together before stitching the world record 664-run-partnership to get the attention of the world and as they say, the rest is history. Tendulkar went onto become one of the greatest batsmen of all-time, whereas Kambli who started out his international career well faded out soon. Yet, Kambli has always remained a great admirer and a friend of Tendulkar. Every year he makes it a point to wish his friend.

Tendulkar holds several world records in cricket. Apart from being the first cricketer to slam a 200 in ODI cricket, he has registered the most number of centuries in Tests and ODIs. Tendulkar, who was born on April 24, 1973, embellished his name around every possible batting record which a human mind can think of.
