Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma 1st Wedding Anniversary in Australia: Prithvi Shaw, Wriddhimann Saha, Cricketing Fraternity Wishes Virushka India Captain And Bollywood Actress

It was an year ago that Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actor-producer Anushka Sharma married in a dreamy Tuscany.

It was exactly a year ago when Indian cricket’s biggest poster boy Virat Kohli and Bollywood superstar Anushka Sharma tied the knot in a dreamy ceremony in Tuscany, Italy. Fondly called as Virushka by their fans, both Virat and Anushka were seen celebrating their important day together in Australia. Along with his team, the Indian captain Kohli is currently on tour of Australia where his side in presently engaged in four-match Test series. While, Anushka is busy promoting her upcoming movie Zero, which is scheduled to get released on December 21.

However, both the superstars took some time off from their respective schedules to spend quality time on the eve of their anniversary. The joy of anniversary doubled as India registered a fine victory in the first Test against Australia in Adelaide.

Kohli-led India created several records as he became the first ever batsman to score past the 2500-run mark for three consecutive years. Team India became the first Indian side to win the first Test match of the series on Australian soil.

On Tuesday, Indian wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha took to micro-blogging platform Twitter to wish Virat-Anushka on their first wedding anniversary. “Wishing you all the happiness and love in the world and congratulations on your anniversary. @imVkohli @AnushkaSharma,” wrote Saha.

In an interview with Aussie legend Adam Gilchrist, the 30-year old opened up about his wife and the positive influence she has brought to his life personally and professionally.

Speaking about Anushka, Virat said that she widened his horizons. “When I met my wife I began to change. I came from a very different background from north India and I had no idea of what happens in any other sphere of society or anyone else’s life. Her life was very different and it came with her own challenges and perspective on things,” he said in the interview.

He added, “It was amazing to just see myself- how much different things were to the way I think. I was not a very practical person before that. But, she has changed me a lot. I’ve learnt so much from her. That’s what it’s supposed to be like, you should help each other grow and she has certainly helped me grow.”
