Away from all the hustle and constant grind in their respective careers – India’s cricket captain Virat Kohli is enjoying some time off with his wife Anushka Sharma at an undisclosed location. After leading India to thumping victories over Australia and New Zealand, Kohli has lately touched great heights professionally by becoming the first Asian captain in history to conquer the territory in Down Under.

Known to wear his heart on his sleeves, Kohli has never shied away from expressing her love for his wife and has many-a-time stated the same in many of their interviews. The cricketer recently shared an adorable picture, enjoying some downtime with Anushka. He captioned the picture with a ‘heart emoji’.

In an interview with a magazine, Anushka had revealed that she was bowled over by Virat’s honesty and lack of pretense. “His honesty is something I deeply value. I’m an honest person and have suffered on account of that. He’s brutally honest too,” she said.

The actress added, “I’m so happy that I met someone like him because we both lead our lives with complete honesty. It’s so transparent and clean. I have a life partner with whom nothing is pretentious. Everything is real.”

Anushka also revealed that she and Virat have been each other’s pillars of strength. “The fact that we both support each other. He’s someone, who’s constantly trying to get better professionally and as an individual. I’m also like that. We don’t take ourselves so seriously. We’re similar as people. That’s why we get along,” she said.

India seemed shorn of their aura in the absence of talismanic skipper Kohli as New Zealand pulled off a stunning eight-wicket win in the fourth cricket one-dayer to halt the visiting side’s domination in Hamilton on Thursday.

With run-machine Kohli rested after the side claimed an unbeatable 3-0 lead in the five-match series, India’s much-vaunted batting was dismissed for its seventh-lowest ODI total — 92 in 30.5 overs — after Trent Boult (5/21) dished out a deadly opening spell.
