India skipper Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma visited Melbourne Park to catch a glimpse of the ongoing Australian Open. The celebrity couple caught up with tennis legend Roger Federer and that became the talk of the town as the Swiss faced a shock defeat on the very next day. While fans took to social media to blame Virushka’s meeting the reason for the loss, leading dairy brand Amul came up with their own version of the episode. Amul, known for their quirky memes posted a picture featuring the three and that has hogged the limelight on social space.

Some fans also went on to remind that Kohli had got his prediction on Germany wrong last year during the FIFA World Cup. The defending champions faced a group stage exit. His prediction on Lionel Messi was not on-the-mark.

Earlier, Federer faced a shock defeat at the Australian Open 2019 as he lost to 20-year-old Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-7 (11-13), 7-6 (7-3), 7-5, 7-6 (7-5) in Melbourne. The Greek showed that he just had a little extra on the day that got better of the 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer.

In an interview on the courtside, an elated Tsitsipas said he is the ‘happiest man on Earth’ now.

“I cannot describe it,” he said.

Tsitsipas revealed that the victory meant so much to him, as he grew up idolising Federer.

“Roger is a legend of our sport. So much respect for him,” he said.

“I have been analysing him since the age of six. It was a dream come true for me just been on Rod Laver (Arena), facing him.

“And winning at the end, there is no way I cannot describe it.”
