Reports also suggest that, the IPL franchises are bound by commercial obligations to provide their team players for sponsor brands’ marketing initiatives and activation plans.

The players too have contractual obligations to make themselves available for brand promotions for a specific period.

However, players obligations are limited in nature and governed by various clauses in their favour.
