Indian captain Virat Kohli was found chilling at a swimming pool a day after India’s 304 runs victory against Sri Lanka in just four days at Galle. Kohli uploaded photos of himself on his Twitter account with KL Rahul, who missed the first Test due to fever.
On day four Kohli scored his 17th Test hundred and second in Sri Lanka to set a 550 runs target for the hosts. Indian bowlers bowled out Sri Lanka with one day left in the match. Kohli completed 1000 runs as a skipper at Galle.
At Galle, India registered their biggest victory at overseas conditions. After captain Kohli declared India’s second innings on 240 for 3 spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin played a key role to ensure India’s victory with one day in hand.
During India’s 304 runs victory they have broken their previous record in Sri Lanka. In 2015, India have defeated Sri Lanka by 278 runs under Kohli’s captaincy at P. Sara Oval. In a span of two years, Team India set a new record on the island.
Ashwin finished with 3/65 while Jadeja has taken three wickets conceding 71 runs. However, injured Asela Gunaratne and skipper Rangana Herath didn’t come to bat in the second innings while Dilruwan Perera finished the match as unbeaten.
