Kohli came in at a stage when the team was reeling at 11/1, Dhawan had just departed for one. Kohli took over from there and played superbly to bring up his 41st ton. He also became the fastest to 4000 ODI runs as a captain, surpassing AB de Villiers and Dhoni to the record. This is Kohli’s 19th ODI ton as captain. This was Kohli’s 66th international century as well.

His century also set Twitter ablaze as fans hailed Kohli. This also happens to be his consecutive hundred. This is also his fifth ton from his last eight innings. He also breached the 500-run-mark in 2019.
