New Delhi, April 24: Virender Sehwag, ever known for coming up with fancy touches on social media, on Tuesday created another sort of drama by wishing premier umpire Kumar Dharmasena before cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar on their respective birthdays. Sehwag tweeted: “Happy Birthday to an elite man . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ICC elite panel umpire Kumara Dharmasena DRS.”

The Sri Lankan umpire, who started his initial career as a right-arm off-spinner turned 47 on Tuesday. He was in charge of 53 Tests, 84 ODIs and 22 T20Is till date.

Later, Sehwag wished his former teammate and batting great stating: “Woh sirf ek Cricketer nahi, Duniya hai Meri ! aur bahuton ki. Many more happy returns of the day to a man who could stop time in India (literally) .Thank you for making the Cricket Bat such a great weapon, which later many like me could also use.”

Tendulkar, who has 100 centuries to his name in international cricket (51 Tests, 49 ODIs) turned 44 on Tuesday. He has scored over 15,000 runs in Tests and 18,426 in his ODI career, before he called it time.
