Virender Sehwag seems to have taken the quirk-quotient to the next level literally with his latest ‘Ramji-Hanumanji’ stunt, involving Sachin Tendulkar. In Virender Sehwag’s latest tweet, Sehwag is on his knees like the Hanuman from Ramayan would do and Sachin Tendulkar is standing, he is ‘Ram’, from the epic. Sehwag also has a ‘Gada’ in his hand, something that even Hanuman used.
This is a picture the two took from the sets of “What The Duck with Vikram Sathaye”.
The former opening partners share a great bond with each other, they are often seen with each other and of course, there is a lot of respect for each other.
Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to post the picture and it read, “When with God ji
@sachin_rt ,best to be at His feet. #HammerNahiGadaHai #RamjiHanumanji”.
This surely is the 21st century Virender Sehwag version of Ramayan and it is not too bad. The cast is top notch and is deadly potent.
The famed duo have opened the innings for India in 93 innings between 2002 and 2012 in ODIs and they scored a whopping 3919 runs between them to be in the second spot in the list of 5 top opening batting pairs in ODI Cricket in terms of runs, only behind Australia’s Adam Gilchrist – Mark Waugh (3853 runs) pair.
Sehwag has surely created a niche for himself with his funny and quirky tweets. But this featuring Sachin Tendulkar has to be one of his very best to date. Sehwag is also the first Indian batsman to score a triple hundred in Test. After his triple at Multan, he went on to get another triple against South Africa in India.
Sehwag is currently a broadcaster and can often be seen hosting cricket shows.
