T20 World Cup 2026: Axar Patel pulled off a stunning catch to dismiss Harry Brook off the bowling of Jasprit Bumrah. Bumrah delivered a clever slower ball from Bumrah, who rolled his fingers across the seam to completely outfox Brook. The England batter, misjudging the shot, and smashed the ball high over cover.
Axar read the trajectory perfectly, sprinted back, and timed a spectacular dive to secure the skier. The catch left him sprawled on the ground for a moment as his teammates rushed in to celebrate the brilliant piece of fielding.
Brook, who is the leading run-scorer for England fell for just 7 in the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, hitting only one four.

Axar Patel didn't stop there, he showcased yet another moment of brilliant fielding, sending the Wankhede crowd to their feet. He made a stunning effort running full tilt, Axar plucked the ball on the move, lost his balance but stayed aware of his surroundings, and hurled it perfectly to a converging Dube, who completed the catch. The coordination between the two fielders was impeccable, with both positioned at the boundary and fully involved in pulling off the sensational dismissal. Sanju Samson wrecked Havoc in Wankhede
After being asked to bat first, India put up a mammoth total of 253 in their 20 overs, thanks largely to Sanju Samson, who smashed 89 off 42 balls.
Samson's innings was boosted when Harry Brook dropped him on 15 off Archer in the third over. Brook's missed catch at mid-on allowed Samson to continue his destructive innings, leaving Archer frustrated.
Samson also stitched a crucial 97-run partnership off just 45 balls with Ishan Kishan, who contributed a rapid 39 off 19, helping India build a formidable total against an inconsistent England bowling attack.
Shivam Dube, who walked into bat at number four to maintain a left-right combination after Ishan Kishan's wicket, made a quickfire 43 off 25 balls. At the other end, Sanju Samson was equally destructive, punishing bowlers like Sam Curran and Jamie Overton.
Jofra Archer returned for his second spell but once again found himself under attack from Samson, who sent one over backward point for a six before hammering another maximum over long-off. Archer leaked 61 runs in his four-over spell, while Tilak Varma added to England's woes with 21 off 7 balls, including three sixes in the 19th over.
In the final over, England turned to Will Jacks off-spin, only for Hardik Pandya to dominate, smashing two huge sixes. India's last five overs produced 76 runs, propelling them to an above-par total and putting immense pressure on the English chase.
