New Delhi: Pakistan secured a 93 runs victory over South Africa on Wednesday (October 15) to clinch the first Test of the ongoing two-match series. In the opener at Gaddafi Stadium, Pakistan bowled out South Africa for 183, chasing a target of 277. Following the match in Lahore, which marked Babar Azam’s return to international cricket after a few months, a Pakistani fan reportedly entered the team’s dressing room to meet the former all-format captain.

A viral video shows a fan climbing the enclosure at Gaddafi Stadium and entering Pakistan’s dressing room. Pakistan’s Test team and support staff were shocked to see the fan’s entry into the dressing room, they were seen asking him to leave.
Babar Azam, who has lead Pakistan in across three formats, celebrated his 31st birthday on Wednesday, October 15. However, in the match at his home ground, he struggle to play an impactful knock with the bat in either innings.

In the first innings, Babar managed to score 23 runs from 48 deliveries, while in the second innings he contributed 42 runs of 72 balls to the teams total.

Babar scripted history during his 23 runs knock in the first innings as he became the first cricketer from Asia to score 3000 runs in the World Test Championship (WTC). The Lahore-born cricketer required only two runs in the first Test to reach 3,000 runs in the World Test Championship and achieved the massive feat by striking South African spinner Senuran Muthusamy for a four on the fourth ball of the 49th over.
