New Delhi: Babar Azam, who rarely bowls in international cricket, displayed his soft off-spin against Legends team. Azhar Ali’s attempt to clear the boundary ended in a straightforward catch in the infield.
And that wasn’t all as he dismissed Younis Khan as well, sneaking one through to knock the legendary batter’s leg stump. Younis walked away with a smile, while Babar celebrated with his teammates. At the end of three overs, his figures stood at 2 for 21.
"Babar Azam bowled out Younis Khan" is a sentence I didn't think I'd ever say. pic.twitter.com/ocIW7KRyZF

For the record, Babar has picked seven wickets in first-class cricket and 12 in List A, along with four scalps in T20s. In Tests, he has grabbed two wickets, though he never bowled in ODIs or T20Is.
Babar Azam took part in an exhibition clash between PSL’s Peshawar Zalmi and a Legends XI, where he showcased his all-round skills. Babar picked up two crucial wickets and played an impressive knock scoring 41 off 23 balls and giving the crowd plenty to cheer about.
The 30-year-old, who is not part of Pakistan’s current T20I setup, walked out to open the innings with Yasir Hameed for Zalmi. He went after Shoaib Akhtar who is now 50-years-old and far from his former pace, racing to 35 off 20 balls before Saeed Ajmal came on. Babar smashed a six to move to 41 off 23, but on the very next delivery, he was dismissed.
Despite Inzamam-ul-Haq’s unbeaten knock of 46 (23), the Legends lost by six-runs.
The purpose of the exhibition match was to raise money for the victims of Pakistan’s recent devastating flash floods.
