For a third straight match at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Guwahati, NorthEast FC will enjoy playing under the boisterous and packed galleries provided by their home support. When two teams face-off at the back of a defeat, it usually makes for a hot-tempered, feisty battle. This Indian Super League (ISL) battle for NorthEast, against FC Goa is expected to be no different and intensity levels have reached fever pitch. This match is scheduled to kick-off at 7:30 pm IST and live telecast will be on Star Sports 2, Star Sports 3 and Star Sports HD 2. Real-time score updates and live streaming links will be available on Star Sports’ official website.

Chennayin FC silenced the home crowd during FC Goa’s first match and it was a major setback to one of the premier footballing hubs of the country. NorthEast, on the other hand, flew off to a flying start in the tournament; winning their opening encounter but were humbled at the hands of the high-flying Atletico de Kolkata. With a vast number of young players in the team, NorthEast were billed as the ‘underdogs’ of the ISL. The side looks a tad short in experience but are a dangerous team on the counter-attack, with their fleet-footed young Indian players at their disposal. Goa, on the other hand are a balanced side and the ISL is eagerly awaiting to see the full bloom of Arsenal legend, Robert Pires.
