India A were chasing a challenging total of 195 in their semi-final against Bangladesh A. With the pitch slowing down, it was up to the Indian openers to give the team a fast start.

Vaibhav took charge from the beginning, going for big shots straight away. The 14-year-old smashed the second ball he faced for a huge six to kick off India A’s chase. He added another six and a four to score 19 runs in the first over.

In the second over, he continued his aggressive approach, hitting spinner Meherob for two more sixes. India A reached 50 runs in just 19 balls, the fastest in the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025. Suryavanshi was dismissed soon after, scoring 38, but had already given the team a strong start.

The Rajasthan Royals youngster has dominated the Rising Stars Asia Cup. The 14-year-old scored an incredible 144 runs off just 42 balls in the tournament opener. Vaibhav showed his hitting was real, adding 45 against Pakistan Shaheens and 38 against Bangladesh.

Suryavanshi has even surpassed Pakistan’s Maaz Sadaqat to become the top run-scorer of the tournament. The India A opener has scored 239 runs in 4 innings, averaging more than 200 in the Rising Stars Asia Cup.

His powerful hitting and fearless style have been a joy to watch. The 14-year-old had already shined in the IPL, hitting the fastest century in the league’s 18-year history. Rajasthan Royals have kept him on for the IPL 2026 season.
