Former Delhi player Mithun Manhas submitted his nomination for the open position of BCCI president at the board’s office on Sunday. Manhas, who had a long domestic career between 1997-98 and 2016-17, played 157 First-Class, 130 List A, and 91 T20 matches. After Roger Binny stepped down last month, Manhas quickly became one of the top choices to take over the role.
The name of 45-year-old Mithun Manhas came up after an unofficial meeting in New Delhi, where it was agreed to support him for the post of BCCI president. Several other important roles in the Indian cricket board will also be filled next Sunday during the Board’s annual general meeting (AGM).
