Kuldeep Yadav who is a member of the team but has not played during the current series also offered his tributes in a tweet.

“Signed in 2020. Won the number 20, and made it his forever. Today, football has not lost. The whole world has lost. Your smile brought a shining light to the pitch you stepped on.

Whether it was Porto, Wolves or Liverpool. Hearts were made yours everywhere,” posted Kuldeep on X.

What happened to Diogo Jota?

Jota and his brother, Penafiel second division player Andre Silva were apparently on their way to a ferry in Spain to go to Britain when their Lamborghini left the road and burst into flames shortly after midnight on Thursday. They both were buried in Gondomar, their hometown, in the northern region of Portugal.

Jota, 28, was an important player to Portugal and Liverpool. After signing with them in 2020, having been loaned out by PL club Wolves, he was instrumental in their success in some of the biggest prizes of the game, the Premier League, the FA Cup and the two EFL Cups.
