In the video, the Indian captain talked about the 50th anniversary of the stadium. He said that the 50th anniversary of the Wankhede Stadium will be celebrated on January 19. However, let us tell you that the anniversary celebrations have already begun on January 12.

In a video shared by MCA, Rohit Sharma said, “On January 19, Wankhede Stadium is celebrating its 50th anniversary. This is a very proud moment for all Mumbaikars, especially those who have been in Mumbai cricket for many years.” Rohit Sharma further said, “For me personally, I have a special attachment to this ground, a lot of memories. I started my age group cricket on this ground and it has been a wonderful journey so far. Seeing Wankhede grow. When I first played here, it was an old stadium, which had its own charm. This ground has special memories associated with Indian cricket, Mumbai Indians and Mumbai Cricket Association’s age group cricket.”
