Sania Mirza was absolutely spot on in her reply on being asked a sexist question by top Indian journalist Rajdeep Sardesai. While Sardesai’s reply to Sania was in an apology, the tennis star’s response was brilliant. As Mashable.com reports, Sardesai questioned, “Amid all the celebrity hood, when is Sania going to settle down? Is it going to be in Dubai? Is it going to be in any another country? What about motherhood? Building a family? I don’t see that in the book. It seems like you don’t want to retire just yet to settle down.” (Film on Sania Mirza will be very inspiring: Shah Rukh Khan) Also Read - Suhana Khan's Mesmerising Boho-Chic Look in Crop Top And Long Skirt is Simply Stunning

Sania’s reply was one of a kind where she said, “You don’t think I am settled? You sound disappointed that I am not choosing motherhood over being number one in the world at this point of time. That’s one of the questions that as women, we have to face all the time. First is marriage, then is motherhood. Unfortunately, that’s when we are settled and no matter how many Wimbledons we win or number ones in the world we become, we don’t become settled.” Also Read - Deepika Padukone Reunites With Shah Rukh Khan For Pathan, To Start Shooting Today
The interview was aired on India Today on Wednesday. Also around the same time during an event, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan said any movie made on tennis star Sania Mirza will be inspiring and he may like to produce it.
“Whenever there is a movie made on Sania, I think it will be very inspiring and it will be fantastic,” Khan told reporters after formally launching Sania’s autobiography, titled ‘Ace Against Odds’. “And I don’t know… Ask her if she will let me play her love interest. But, I will produce it for sure,” he said in a lighter vein. (With agency inputs)
