The second-fastest by an Indian player in T20 cricket
After joining Chennai Super Kings mid-IPL 2025 as an injury replacement, Urvil Patel has quickly made a name for himself in T20 cricket. He holds the joint record for the fastest T20 hundred by an Indian, alongside Abhishek Sharma, both scoring centuries in 28 balls during the 2024–25 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. In 2023, he had also grabbed attention with a 41-ball List A century against Arunachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, showing his power-hitting skills.
Kerala captain Sanju Samson, who will also play with Urvil at CSK, scored a calm 51 not out, guiding Kerala to a 10-wicket win over Odisha. However, his innings was outshone by Rohan Kunnummal, who smashed 121 off 60 balls for his second T20 century, helping Kerala win comfortably.
