New Delhi: The opening match of the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 saw India take on the UAE. Batting first, young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi once again stole the show with a brilliant century. Taking on the UAE bowlers aggressively, he reached his hundred in just 56 balls, playing in a T20-style despite the Youth Asia Cup being contested in the ODI format.

During this innings,Vaibhav smashed five fours and nine sixes. At the time of his century, Suryavanshi’s strike rate was over 174. He and Aaron George put together an outstanding 150-run partnership, with George contributing an impressive half-century.
After reaching his century, Vaibhav became even more lethal. He smashed two more sixes in the same over, taking his six count past 10. Just a few days ago, Vaibhav was playing for his team Bihar in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where he performed well. Now, it appears that his form is continuing here as well. It remains to be seen how many more runs Vaibhav manages to score throughout the tournament.

14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi had previously impressed with the bat in the Asia Cup Rising Stars Tournament 2025, as he samshed 144 off just 42 balls against the UAE. He continued his stellar form throughout the series, amassing 239 runs in four matches. Vaibhav then went on to score a century for Bihar in the 2025-26 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
While captain Ayush Mhatre was dismissed for 4 runs off 11 balls, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Aaron George forged a strong partnership, steering India toward a big total. Vaibhav is currently unbeaten at 14o off 79 deliveries.
