Manchester United players and staff came to the rescue of colleague Marcos Rojo on Thursday night, who found himself in dire need of a mid-match banana against Rostov.
United boss Jose Mourinho sourced the fruit from we-know-not-where before handing it to substitute Ashley Young, who was warming up further along the touchline.
Young eventually delivered the emergency banana before any more drastic action were required.
Social media had a field day, of course…
Fans tweeted that ‘Rojo eating as banana has been the highlight of the game so far’.

“I don’t know if you were tired any time in your life,” Mourinho told BT Sport.
“I was tired many times, I know what [the limits are], the player asked for a banana and banana [it] is.
“But it’s not to laugh. It’s not to laugh at all.
“It’s to respect the players in their limits when they give absolutely everything.”
