West Indies Tour of India: India opening batsman Murali Vijay came up with a cryptic tweet after being snubbed from the Test side which will take on West Indies in a couple of days time in the 1st Test at Rajkot. Not just Vijay, his opening partner Shikhar Dhawan also did not find a spot in the squad. Vijay was also dropped after two Tests against England after he failed to get among the runs. Vijay took to Instagram and captioned his picture as, “Just live this moment without ?? #moretolife #lovetoall.”
Meanwhile, after his failures against England, Vijay went on to score 323 runs in five innings at an average of 64.60 in the County Championship for Essex.
Meanwhile, it has been an interesting selection of the team. BCCI announced a 15-member squad for the Test series and it is clear by the selection that Kohli’s India is looking at the future. With Shikhar Dhawan, Murali Vijay omitted from the squad, it is clear Kohli is clear in his thinking. So, will KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal open? In the current scenario that looks most likely. Prithvi Shaw could be another option at the top of the order if India is looking to give him a go. Cheteshwar Pujara, there is no tinkering with him, he certainly plays No 3 with India captain Virat Kohli at No 4.
The first Test starts on October 4.
