West Indies Tour of India: India captain Virat Kohli and Co arrived in Rajkot to a huge fan frenzy. India will play the first Test against West Indies in the two-match Test series. The Indian team looked relaxed as they were being escorted to their vehicle. Mostly all the cricketers were present including the support staff and head coach Ravi Shastri. The series in all likelihood be a prep series for Kohli’s men before they tour Australia and just to get a feel of what they will encounter in Australia, the team management has asked for bouncy pitches. The players arrived in Rajkot in the wee hours of the night, tentatively at 2:00 am.

Here is the video of how the players arrived at Rajkot for the 1st Test.

Meanwhile, it has been an interesting selection of the team. BCCI announced a 15-member squad for the Test series and it is clear by the selection that Kohli’s India is looking at the future. With Shikhar Dhawan, Murali Vijay omitted from the squad, it is clear Kohli is clear in his thinking. So, will KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal open? In the current scenario that looks most likely. Prithvi Shaw could be another option at the top of the order if India is looking to give him a go. Cheteshwar Pujara, there is no tinkering with him, he certainly plays No 3 with India captain Virat Kohli at No 4.

Meanwhile, the first Test starts on October 4.
