New Delhi: West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin, Mumbai batter Simran Shaikh and India Under-19 wicketkeeper-batter G Kamalini have received big bucks in the WPL 2025 auction.

Gujarat Giants buy Simran for Rs 1.9 crore:
One of only three players with a reserve price of Rs 50 lakh, Deandra was picked up by Gujarat Giants for Rs 1.7 crore. But the biggest story of the auction so far has been the deal for uncapped players like Simran, who was bought by Gujarat Giants for Rs 1.9 crore.

Simran, who is playing with UP Warriors for WPL 2023, was a member of the Mumbai team that won the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy and the India E team that won the Challenger Trophy.

Kamalini was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 1.6 crore:
Kamalini, who scored an unbeaten 44 in India’s nine-wicket win over Pakistan in the Under-19 Asia Cup match, was bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 1.6 crore.

Kamalini, a 16-year-old from Tamil Nadu, trains at the Super Kings academy in Chennai and shot to fame after scoring 311 runs in eight matches as Tamil Nadu won the Under-19 Women’s T20 Trophy in October. She will be MI’s second wicketkeeper-batter option after Yastika Bhatia.

Prema Rawat bought by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for Rs 1.2 crore:
The other notable uncapped Indian player to get a big amount in the auction was Uttarakhand all-rounder Prema Rawat, who was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 1.2 crore. Prema, who bowls leg-spin, played a key role in leading Mussoorie Thunders to their maiden Uttarakhand Premier League (UPL) title this year.
