WWE Champion Jinder Mahal to Defend his Title Against Kevin Owens on December 8

Jinder retained the title against Shinsuke Nakamura at Hell in a Cell recently and will be up against Canadian professional wrestler at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium.

New Delhi: India’s wrestling superstar Jinder Mahal, who is the current WWE champion, will be aiming to defend his title against Kevin Owens as Delhi is hosting the WWE LIVE event in India on December 8, which was announced on Tuesday.

Jinder retained the title against Shinsuke Nakamura at Hell in a Cell recently and will be up against Canadian professional wrestler at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. The match with Owens will position Mahal into the hometown babyface role, which will be a first for Mahal in his WWE tenure.

Meanwhile, The Singh Brothers and Owens will also be appearing in the show despite it being a Raw-branded tour. Apart from them, Roman Reigns will face Braun Strowman in the second championship match.

In the RAW Tag Team championship match, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins will hock horns with Cesaro and Sheamus and Finn Balor will face Bray Wyatt.

Women wrestlers will also take part during the live event. Sasha Banks will face Alexa Bliss in the RAW championship match. (With IANS inputs)
