The World Wrestling Entertainment company (WWE) has taken a hit on their TRP ratings with the weekly shows of RAW and SmackDown, they will now look to reverse the trend with the latest upcoming pay-per-view of the month ‘WWE Extreme Rules’.
The ‘Extreme Rules 2018’ show is headlined by Bobby Lashley vs. Roman Reigns, AJ Styles vs. Rusev for the WWE Championship and Seth Rollins battling Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental title.
WWE has planned solid card for this pay-per-view with matches which includes the Japanese sensation Shinsuke Nakamura vs. the ‘enigmatic’ Jeff Hardy for the United States Championship. The diva match will be headlined by Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax in a heated rivalry for the Raw Women’s Championship.
With WWE’s biggest event of the summer, ‘Summer Slam’ just over a month away, the WWE needs to get the trends back to its favour to set the stage for the Summer Slam card and that can be done with a great showing at the ‘Extreme Rules’, which will also determine who will be holding the company’s top championships.
However, According to a reliable source Cagesideseats.com, none of the championships will change hands at the WWE Extreme Rules event.
Just like all the other title holders, this would also mean that Alexa Bliss will find a way to get the victory over Nia Jax- a match where Alexa is considered the underdog.
Also, Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Newsletter claims Bobby Lashley will win the main event of the PPV night. He is set to compete against Roman Reigns in a first-time ever matchup. The winner of the contest is expected to get a shot at the Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.
