Nov 8th: For the last couple of years, WWE Wrestlemania has always been about The Undertaker. If speculations are to be believed, then the 50 year old superstar is all set to retire in the April Mega event. With his streak ended, the WWE creative team has been looking for replacements for the supposedly retirement match of the Phenom. The latest rumours give us a glimpse that the match will be against none other than John Cena. (read: WWE: WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins injured)
John Cena has been the face of the company for the last decade, showing up for events week after week and more than once, delivered a stellar performance to boost WWE’s ratings. His recent stint as the US-Champion is just an example of how far the professional wrestler has come. Undertaker, on the other hand has wrapped up his feud with Brock Lesner and is looking to finish things with Wyatt Family on Survivor Series, which also happens to be the 25th anniversary of his career. It makes sense to make him the face of the company and the most loyal superstar of WWE to be in a bout together. After all, these two superstars have not clashed against each other in a long time.
Also, The Rock is said to be booked for the main event against his feud Triple H. The two had an disagreement on Wrestlemania 31 and nothing has happened that. Considering Triple H is the new Vince McMahon of WWE, the People’s champion Rock could stand up to teach the COO a lesson.
Of course, all this could be false and WWE could head up to another main event match because of Seth Rollins’ unexpected knee injury. Taker and Cena have faced each other before in a bloody Smackdown match in which Taker emerged victorious.
