For wrestling fans few of the Monday nights get so emotional as it went today. Quite arguably, the most popular star of contemporary WWE, Daniel Bryan hung up his boots. After an illustrative career, spanning from the independent circuit in the late 90s right up to headlining the Wrestlemania, Bryan was forced to quit due to a life-threatening injury. However, the night was not all about Bryan, as finally, better sense prevailed among the WWE creative, who now seem to be rallying behind the underrated Dean Ambrose. The video left the arena in a pin drop silence. The screen cuts back to the ring where Stephanie MacMahon is about to begin her promo. Before she could speak, ‘Daniel Bryan’ chants broke out throughout the arena. Playing the perfect ‘heel boss’ Stephanie responded, “Shut Up Idiots! This is isn’t about Daniel Bryan. It is about the World Heavyweight Championship.Its time for contract signing for the main event at Fastlane.”

Beast incarnated leaves no stone unturned to project himself as the most strongest contender entering the main event at Fastlane. Lesnar throws Ambrose over Reigns as nails down Ambrose with the F5, as the crowd kept chanting “Suplex City”.

Charlotte vs Alicia Fox

Charlotte performance inside the squared-circle is improving day-by-day. In a short but exciting contest with Alicia Fox, the raging Diva proves her wrestling credentials as expected from her being the daughter of legendary Nature boy Ric Flair.

Kevin Owens vs Dolph Ziggler

One of the reasons why fans have once turned towards WWE is due to the fact that in ring action is turning solid as compared to the past few years. Both the superstars are not the home creation of WWE and have walked up the ladder through the Independent circuit. Not only did the wrestling action amused the fans, but the duo were able to translate their match as a build-up for an upcoming feud.

The Lucha Dragons vs Alberto Del Rio & Rusev


Another loss and the faction ‘League of Nations’ filled with immense talent would had potentially turned into a group of majors. After being defeated multiple times by wrestlers half their size – Sin Cara and Kalisto, Alberto Del Rio sought revenge. In a tag-team encounter, he, along with Rusev prevailed over the Mexican duo.

Goldust once again turning into the ‘Bizarre One’

Pro-wrestling fans recall Goldust as one of the those characters who could pave way for his own creative. His character has evolved over the years through creepy segments stints since the past two decades. Right from playing the womanizer to the homosexual, Goldust is back at it with some other sort of creepiness suited for PG-13. A combination of R-Truth and Goldust would only create the current product more intriguing.

Eight-man tag team match ‘Tables’ match: Dudleyz turn heel!

Fans were completely into the contest. The negative reaction was visible when Mark Henry showed their back to the all ‘Afro-American’ cocky faction and left New Day in a three v/s four situation. As the the team of Dudley Boyz and Usos secured the win, the element of surprise came. After playing ‘babyfaces’ for the past 4 months, Dudleyz entered into their original persona. A hell-turn was the need of the hour, as even the crowd seemed to had enjoyed. Nostalgic chants of “E-C-Dub…E-C-Dub” broke in reminiscing the iconic role played by the Bubba Ray & D-Von in the all-hardcore wrestling promotion ECW.

Dean Ambrose finally in spotlight

WWE creative seems to have something solid in store for the ‘lunatic fringe’. Among the ‘Shield’ trio, it was Ambrose who was the most talented yet left without any major push. While his former partners – Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins went on to capture the Gold, it seems that Ambrose’ moment is drawing near. Although, he was at the receiving end of the Lesnar fury, he reminisced the tactic used by Stine Cold Steve Austin in 1997. Rattle snake lost clean to Bret  “the Hitman” Hart in multiple matches, but showed a resilient character which made his on-screen persona more intriguing than ever.

Daniel Bryan bids farewell to the WWE Universe!

Emotions were raked up as the moment arrived when Daniel Bryan entered the ring to say a final goodbye. For one last time, “The Yes Movement” was on display. Crowd was into it, appreciating each and every line stated by Bryan with loud applause and every possible chant which made his farewell speech more iconic and memorable. With Bryan expressing gratitude towards the fans for making the past 15 years of his life the best phase ever, the crowd responded back with – “THANK YOU BRYAN”.
