According to PWInsider, The deal is for two years but Mysterio was actually looking to negotiate an 18-month contract, however, WWE wanted to sign the high-flying fan favourite superstar on a two-year deal and both the parties came to an agreement on that. The contract has a special stipulation that Rey Mysterio was can submit an official notice if he wants to call it quits at the 18-month mark. Although the reports suggesting Rey Mysterio’s resigning for WWE is strong, there has been no official word yet on if the former World Heavyweight Champion will be returning to WWE. Earlier this year, Rey Mysterio returned on the WWE pay-per-view, Royal Rumble and then he also appeared for the on-tour event in Saudi Arabia, the Greatest Royal Rumble. On both occasions, Rey Mysterio’s appearance blew the roof up with the overwhelming response from the audience.
