WWE Royal Rumble: Triple H grabs the gold by eliminating Roman Reigns

WWE Royal Rumble has ended and so is Roman Reigns' championship reign with Triple H walking out with the WWE Championship

Jan 25: Royal Rumble is the road to Wrestlemania and looking at how the last 30 man ‘One Vs All’ match ended; the main event contest is set. While there were some great matches in the overall pay-per-view; the show encircled on the last gold and ended just like it was predicted: Triple H winning the match and Roman Reigns being eliminated The Game. The PPV Royal Rumble started with a hell of a contest between Dean Ambrose and Kevin Owens which the champion won. WWE Divas Division finally catapulted Sasha Banks to championship scene as she attacked Charlotte with Bank Statement. Even the fan favorite Kalisto won the US Championship. But never before did the Royal Rumble match have so much catcalling.

Roman Reigns entered at number one and was immediately booed by the audience. Rusev was quickly eliminated and then entered the best surprise entry AJ Styles. Those who are not familiar with AJ Styles, he is a 17 year wrestling veteran who finally stepped into the WWE ring. And he made an impression. A typical Vince McMahon orchestration, Roman Reigns was attacked by the League of Nations and Roman Reigns was wheeled out of action. Braun Strauman and Wyatt Family were in total control of the match till the Beast Brock Lesnar stepped in the ring. He decimated the match and eliminated all three dominating members. Every single wrestler went to Suplex City and Brock Lesnar looked like he was going to win the match until Bray Wyatt showed up. Wyatt Family overpowered Brock and eliminated the Beast together. The crowd went mad: two the favorites were eliminated Brock Lesnar and AJ Styles.

Roman Reigns, who had not been eliminated yet returned and lay waste to every superstar in the ring except Dean Ambrose, who was already down. As Roman Reigns stood tall the last number 30 entrant came and Triple H returned! This was not a surprise because WWE has been focussing too much on Reigns-McMahon rivalry and The Game was the ultimate weapon. The two superstars: Triple H and Roman Reigns locked stares and fought it out. The match picked up some speed but the crowd was still pretty much dead as the match went on. It all changed as Triple H eliminated Roman Reigns. It was sure that there will be a new champion and it would be either the Game or Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns’ brother.
