Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar once again squared off, and this time it was for the WWE Universal Championship. The Goldberg vs. Lesnar match was one of the main attraction of WrestleMania 33. However, it failed to live up to its hype (at least Twitterati think so).
The Goldberg vs. Lesnar match did not last as long as expected and was over inside five minutes. Yes, longer than what we witnessed at the Survivor Series last year when these two superstars were up against each other after 12 years.
Lesnar began with domination as he slammed Goldberg with three back to back German Suplexes. However, Goldberg was quickly up on his feet as he spearheaded The Beast not just once but twice. It looked like Deja Vu for Goldberg fans, but that was not the case this time around. Lesnar then got hold of Goldberg and thrashed him this time with six German suplexes. The Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida, hosted the WrestleMania 33 in front of a record crowd of 75,245. Earlier at WrestleMania 33, there were some high-intensity matches. Kevin Owens defeated Chris Jericho to win the United States Championship.
The Hardy Boyz, who returned to WWE, defeated Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson, Enzo Amore & Big Cass, Sheamus & Cesaro to win the Raw Tag Team Championship in a Fatal Four-Way Ladder match.
